Hi, I'm Chaitanya Koduru.
Every photograph begins long before I press the shutter.
It begins with noticing something that makes me stop. Sometimes it's the way light falls across a street. Sometimes it's a silhouette that reveals very little. Other times, it's simply a feeling that tells me this moment is worth remembering.
Photography wasn't always something I imagined becoming such an INTEGRAL part of my life. Over the past few years, while balancing a full time career, I found myself returning to my camera more and more through my travels and everyday life. What started as curiosity has gradually become something I now want to dedicate myself to, and I'm excited to see where it leads.
The camera has taught me to slow down. It has made me more observant, more curious, and more grateful for the moments that often pass unnoticed.
I'm drawn to photographs that ask questions instead of answering them. Images that leave room for interpretation and allow people to bring their own experiences into the frame. I don't always want a photograph to explain everything. Sometimes it's the unanswered questions that stay with us the longest.
When I look back at my photographs, I rarely remember just the scene. I remember the conversations, the laughter, the uncertainty, the long rides, the changing weather, and everything else that surrounded that moment. That's what I love most about photography. It has a way of preserving not just what I saw, but what I felt.
To be able to see this world through the viewfinder of my camera is a privilege I'd never want to take for granted.
